RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 20-bed progressive care unit (D2) on 2nd floor of main campus
• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 depending on acuity level
• Care for mixed level patients including medical surgical and step-down patients
• Manage short stay patients (less than 24 hour length of stay) with quick turnover
• Work with telemetry equipment - all patients hardwired to bedside monitors when indicated
• Use Cerner electronic medical records system
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs
• Every other weekend required, no call responsibilities
• Must be willing to float to other units when needed
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have telemetry competency and progressive care experience
• Recent progressive care experience preferred
• Dress code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white attire
• Ideal candidate has positive attitude, patient experience focus, kind, compassionate, and works well as team player
