RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 101-bed emergency department with typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend schedule required, must meet department scheduling needs
• Float to all sections within the emergency department (no floating outside of ED)
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency room setting required
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department required
• Follow AIDET protocols, maintain respectful patient interaction, and keep communication boards updated
• Navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• Support department known for teamwork and welcoming personalities serving multicultural community
