Job Description & Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers are accepted
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics

General Setting & Skills:

• Admit Unit patients come via direct admission from clinics, physicians’ offices, prompt cares, other hospitals, or ER.
• Population: Intermediate-level patients (monitoring no more frequent than 1 hr) and medical-surgical patients.
• Common diagnoses: Dysrhythmias, CHF, acute stroke symptoms (not requiring TPA/critical care), Acute Coronary Syndrome, Myocardial Ischemia, etc.
• Fast-paced environment focused on patient throughput and patient-centered care.
• Strong teamwork dynamic.
• All patients on hardwire telemetry; self-monitored by RN.
