Job Summary Blue Ridge Automation is seeking to fill a full-time Industrial Automation Technician position. This position will be responsible for supporting engineering and maintenance with electrical and automation troubleshooting; start-up, and commissioning support to reduce downtime, machine reliability, and increase production. list of things this position will be responsible for. Industrial Automation Technicians are embedded at remote locations. This role is ideal for electrical technicians with factory experience looking to advance their skillset in automation.

: $30.00-$40.00 an hour *****

UL 508A, NFPA 70/70E, Rockwell certifications preferred Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and install various electrical equipment, motors, VFDs, control components, instrumentation, etc. Utilize and interpret technical documentation such as electrical diagrams, mechanical schematics, technical publications, OEM blueprints, etc. Follow site SOPs, adhere to all plant and company safety standards, and understand and execute the customers permit process. Follow Blue Ridge Automation SOPs, and complete daily planned work orders as assigned. Communicate effectively with plant operations in order to build and maintain a good relationship with customers. Work with Plant Planner/Supervisor for improvements and repairs. Utilize customers CMMS system. Source materials in emergency situations.

Job Requirements Experience with basic office computer programs to complete expense reports, quote materials, and generate reports. Effective time management and prioritization skills 3 years of industrial electrical or service experience Understanding various PLC programming methods Experience with HMI & SCADA Experience with Industrial Communications like Asi bus, Device Net, and Ethernet Ability to follow preventive and predictive maintenance methods Proficiency in utilizing and interpreting technical documentation Ability to work with others and independently Understand 480V and 277V systems Experience in GMP regulated manufacturing environments preferred Understanding of control voltages, 24V, 120V, 0-10V, 0-15V, 4-20ma
