Primary Function
The Paralegal will support attorneys with case management, document preparation, filings, and client communication. The role requires proactive coordination across teams, direct contact with courts and clients, and a high level of reliability in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for client updates and communication
Draft legal documents, discovery responses, and routine correspondence using firm templates
File pleadings with courts and maintain accurate calendars for hearings and deadlines
Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, scheduling, and witness coordination
Conduct research and organize case materials for attorney review
Participate in weekly case reviews and contribute to strategic workflow discussions
Coordinate with opposing counsel, court staff, and third parties
Maintain compliance with confidentiality standards, court rules, and internal procedures
Qualifications
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution
Minimum 2 years of experience in a law firm setting (criminal law preferred)
Strong communication, organization, and writing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management software (Clio preferred)
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities under pressure with minimal supervision
Preferred
Experience in criminal defense support, including trial preparation
Knowledge of Idaho court systems and procedures
Spanish-speaking or bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
