Qualifications and Experience Requirements High school graduate or equivalent required (2-yr Technical Degree or certifications preferred) PLC experience is required (academic experience is acceptable) Strong Mechanical and Electrical background (up to 480v) Hydraulic and pneumatic experience Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and OEM manuals 5 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience Possesses strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS, etc.)
Maintenance Technician Job Description Analyze, correct, and improve production machines which require the knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical Diagnose, isolate, and correct electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems which include replacement and adjustment of components, integral units, motors, controls, switches, standard devices, valves, and gear. Install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electro-mechanical systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computer-controlled instrumentation / controls, automation components, sensors, control drives, PLC programs, etc. Ability to apply root cause analysis to determine what successful repairs or upgrades are required to eliminate failures. Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications. Orders materials, schedules the work, and directs personnel assisting with improvements. Improves machines performances. May require implementing redesign and fabrication of new parts; replacing outdated or obsolete component with modern component; Trouble shooting PLC program, servo systems, robotics, and motor control.
