Overview
The Warehouse Associate will assist the Branch Manager and Operations Manager for the Fort Worth facility. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor in the yards or warehouse, operating company vehicles for product deliveries, using hand and power tools, and maintaining yards, sites, and debris removal as needed. May assist in road sign fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction yards/projects and prepare equipment or vehicles for use.
- Make deliveries as needed.
- Inventory warehouse equipment and supplies.
- Stage appropriate equipment with product and backup supplies.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment as recommended.
- Maintain a clean job site and secure tools and equipment daily to eliminate hazards.
- Handle and store materials properly.
- Support daily maintenance of all vehicles (fueling, fluid checks, appropriate tire pressure).
- Load and unload trucks; haul and hoist materials.
- Deliver materials to jobsites.
- Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; bring problems to the attention of the Supervisor/Foreman, Branch Manager or Operations Manager.
- Receive all inbound material and provide counts and documentation to the Warehouse Supervisor, Branch Manager and Operations Manager.
- May assist with front counter duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction.
- Follow multiple instructions and stay organized and self-motivated.
- Basic experience in data entry/computer skills.
- Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a customer-service mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
