Warehouse Associate II Job at VSE Corporation in San Bernardino

SUMMARY: As part of a leading Global Aerospace Distributor, the Senior Warehouse Associate is responsible for understanding and executing all facets of operational processes including order fulfillment, receiving, domestic / international shipping, and inventory control. The Senior Warehouse Associate will be required to work in a team environment to achieve the expected results.

Responsibilities

• Order Picking and Packaging
• Receiving, Packing, and Storing material in warehouse locations
• General understanding of vendor paperwork upon receiving and shipping
• Prepare orders for domestic shipping and verify all required documentation is included
• Produce Export / Customs documentation, which includes SLI’s and AES filings
• Contact Freight Forwarders to coordinate shipments
• Perform inventory cycle counts and make appropriate inventory adjustments as needed
• Ensure warehouse and workstations are clean and organized
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Minimum Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 1-2 years of relevant/technical work experience.
• Proficiency in using various software, mainly Microsoft Office Word and Outlook.
• Ability to read and write at a proficient level

Preferred Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certification.
• 2+ years of operational/warehouse work experience.
• Intermediate computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of Component Control Quantum.
• Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack
