Overview

Earn for performance with Nussbaum. Majority of loads are within a 350-mile radius; home weekly with most workweeks Mon-Fri and full weekends at home. Hiring in Northeast Illinois into Wisconsin.

Earning Potential & Pay Features

• Earn $63-70K your first year (based on experience; see dropdowns below for a full breakdown).
• Increase your earning potential.
• Tenure: +$0.01 per mile each year (up to $0.50/mile).
• Driver Scorecard Bonus: +$0.02-$0.08 per mile (average driver earns $0.03-$0.05).
• Certified RED Bonus: +$0.02 per mile.
• Door-to-door practical miles—empty & loaded.
• Weekly guarantee: $1,200 - $1,250 (based on experience). If miles are short due to delays, breakdowns, etc., you’ll still earn the guaranteed amount.
• Activity pay for the work you do, not just the miles you run: $20 for pickups and deliveries; $12 for trailer relays and shuttles; $20/hour detention pay (starts after 1 hour); $270-$280/day layover pay.
• Paid orientation at Nussbaum Headquarters — $200/day.

Job Details

• Home weekly; most weeks Mon-Fri, with full weekends at home. Occasional variations may occur (e.g., depart Sunday or return Saturday).
• Majority of loads within 350 miles; some up to 400 miles, but rarely farther.

Driver Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• At least 6 months of recent experience OR completion of our training program
• Valid CDL A
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
• Meet all other Nussbaum requirements

Early Exit Option

If you decide in the first 90 days that Nussbaum isn't the right fit, you’ll receive a $1,000 bonus. Must haul for 30 days and separate before 90 days.
