Overview
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for delivering accounting services to agencies supported by Shared Services. Key responsibilities include managing intercompany transactions, preparing account reconciliations, posting journal entries, and handling ad hoc requests using the Vantage general ledger system. The role may also support additional areas as needed.

Work Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Work Environment: Onsite office-based role with limited remote work options, in accordance with applicable laws.
Essential Functions
- Prepare variance analyses and related commentaries.
- Post journal entries for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure balances are accurately stated.
- Resolve intercompany discrepancies within established deadlines.
- Compile monthly and quarterly closing schedules for consolidation reporting.
- Generate month-end and year-end reports for supported agencies.
- Provide support to internal and external stakeholders regarding systems and processes managed by Shared Services (Vantage).
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and assist with audit-related requests.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
