Job Summary

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with experience in construction or homebuilding. This role manages financial records, tracks project costs, and ensures accurate reporting to support efficient and profitable homebuilding operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Manage job cost accounting, including budget tracking, variance reporting, and reconciliations.
• Process subcontractor/vendor invoices, draw requests, and lien waivers.
• Oversee payroll entries and compliance with federal/state tax regulations.
• Handle bank reconciliations, loan draws, and funding schedules.
• Support project managers and executives with financial reporting and cost analysis.
• Assist with year-end close, audits, and tax preparation.
• Develop and improve internal financial controls and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience (construction/homebuilding preferred).
• Proficiency with Quickbooks
• Strong knowledge of job costing, and construction billing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
