Summary

Our client, a growing Human Resources service company, is looking to add a motivated Staff Accountant to their team. The Staff Accountant will own monthly company financial statements, reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, income statement accounts and multiple bank accounts. This person will also be responsible for monthly preparation of recurring journal entries and monthly revenue and expense accruals.

Staff Accountant Job Requirements

  • Seamless fit into our unique, energetic, and gritty culture
  • 4-year degree in accounting, business, or finance preferred
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting preferred
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills

Staff Accountant Job Description

  • Assist with month end and year end duties including but not limited to fixed asset and capital expenditure entries, all prepared and accrual entries, bank statement reconciliation, all general ledger account reconciliations, and weekly external payroll entries and audits
  • Assist with weekly revenue and invoice audits
  • Assist with monthly financial revenue and expense analytics in preparation of monthly Executive reporting package
  • Assist Tax Accountant with preparation of local tax returns
  • Assist AR Associate with daily tasks such as the application of invoices to customer payments, reapps, and returns
  • Perform various ad-hoc analysis and special projects
