LHH is partnering with an established manufacturing company, located in the Ann Arbor area, in the search for a Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the month-end close process.

Responsibilities
- Performing day-to-day general accounting functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, including fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany accounts.
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts and investigating discrepancies.
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and customer/vendor communication.
- Participating in audits and assisting with documentation requests.
- Contributing to special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency with accounting software/ERP
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and learn new systems and tools quickly.
- A collaborative spirit and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
