Expanding, middle market PE firm is seeking a Fund Accountant to support the CFO/COO in fund and management company accounting. This is a hands-on, high visibility role responsible for but not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, quarterly and ad hoc capital calls and distributions, quarterly and ad hoc investor reporting, and monthly/quarterly internal/management reporting
• Maintenance of the funds’ general ledger; responsibility for understanding all aspects of the trial balance
• Cash management, assistance in deal funding, capital calls
• Ensure deadlines and policies are adhered to in all aspects of the role
• Serves as the primary contact for audit and administrator related inquiries

Qualifications

• 2+ years accounting experience within the Private Equity sector, public accounting experience a plus
• Proven ability to understand partnership agreements and waterfall calculations
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Team player, strong follow through, and the ability to multi-task
