Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll work independently and as part of a collaborative team to provide exceptional client service. You’ll gain hands-on experience in tax, audit, payroll, and business consulting while working directly with clients and partners. Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, trial balances, and reconciliations
• Assist with tax return preparation (individual, payroll, sales, and business)
• Compile, review, and audit financial statements
• Perform bookkeeping, payroll, and consulting tasks
• Analyze financial data and support system/process improvements
• Collaborate with senior accountants, managers, and partners on engagements
• Build strong client relationships and represent the firm in community organizations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA eligibility preferred)
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and personal income tax
• Strong communication and client-service skills
• Detail-oriented, flexible, and a team player
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Seasonal overtime required
• Occasional travel to client sites, meetings, and seminars
