General Statement Of Responsibilities

To provide a safe and secure environment for students and staff

Essential Functions

• Ensures that all buildings are secured after hours;
• Locks entrance and exit gates;
• Checks all buses, vans and cars;
• Patrols grounds and reports any safety concerns noted, on a daily basis;
• Reports any trespassers and vandalism;
• Checks well readings, if required;
• Reports water line breakages;
• Reports all mechanical equipment problems;
• Assists with opening and closing of buildings for functions;
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT;
• No experience required;
• Ability to communicate and work well with staff, students and the public;
• Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's licence.

• TIME MANAGEMENT: Routine work with little planning needed;
• STRESS MANAGEMENT: Periodic stress;
• PUBLIC CONTACT: Completes work with minimal contact with others;
• LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for work that is critical to the safety and security of students and staff in the district;
• EVALUATION PROCEDURE: In accordance with provisions specified in Governing Board policy.
