Marana Health is seeking a Marketing Manager to join the Administration team at the Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ. The Marketing Manager is responsible for a variety of duties including marketing and communications, public relations, and special events with an emphasis on social/digital media, graphic design, and website maintenance.

Overview

Marana Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), with 11 sites in Tucson and Pima County. Our mission is to improve our community by providing exceptional, whole-person healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the strategic development, implementation, and management of all existing and new media content, including content for web, mobile, and social media, and develop strategies to engage, retain, and grow the supporter base through online relationships, e-newsletter sign ups, and online giving.
  • Promote and position Marana Health effectively to donors, corporate and organizational funding sources, patients, and the media through mailings, news releases, social media, web presence, and related messaging.
  • Create and manage compelling, engaging content that informs, inspires, and connects users via social media platforms.
  • Manage updates to the Marana Health website using website development software and oversee off-site web assets, including photography, downloads, and multimedia.
  • Manage Google, website customer comments, and surveys; update time-sensitive information on websites and social media content; draft, review, and edit content for publications in line with social media strategy.
  • Handle multiple projects at varying stages of production; supervise brand content, revise and create brand standards and usage guidelines, and manage access to brand assets.
  • Develop and edit copy for website, print publications, newsletters, press releases, presentations, community letters, and communications calendars; manage forms development.
  • Conduct media relations, interviews, and draft materials as needed; support integrative marketing including newsletters, annual report, digital media, and direct-mail solicitations.
  • Provide project management and operational support for the leadership team; assist with annual gift campaigns, employee giving, and year-end appeals.
  • Draft correspondence and respond to inquiries from donors, prospective donors, and board members; coordinate meetings and special events; assist with event planning and hosting as assigned.
  • Create and maintain department files and systems.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field
  • 3 years’ experience in marketing, public relations, advertising, social media, fundraising, or similar role
  • Demonstrated ability multitasking, managing simultaneous complex projects, and prioritizing workloads
  • Current Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR will be run by Marana Health)
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in relevant field
  • Professional experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings
  • Public speaking and community networking experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required

Supervisory responsibilities

May occasionally provide direction, training, or guidance to others.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Professional level skills in standard office equipment and programs including MS Office Suite and Constant Contact
  • Adobe design software (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign) and Donor Perfect fundraising software
  • HTML, Joomla and other web design interface software; digital media experience (Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Instagram, etc.)
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex information
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with ability to craft content for multiple audiences
  • Strategic thinking for messaging and media relationships
  • Project management, branding, and development of organizational voice
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication with tact and political acumen
  • Organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail
  • Customer service orientation and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Commitment to integrity, trust, respect, and equity in professional performance
