SUMMARY We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Communications Manager to serve as the connective tissue across our fast-paced marketing organization. This role is responsible for translating ideas, updates, and strategies from our Marketing Director and adjacent team members into cohesive, actionable plans and clear communication – both internally and externally. The ideal candidate is equal parts storyteller, strategist, and organizer, capable of building structured presentations, managing marketing workflows, and ensuring consistent messaging across digital, sports, trade, and traditional marketing channels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Marketing Planning & Communications
Create polished marketing update presentations for internal leadership, external stakeholders, and partners.
Draft clear, engaging internal and external communications, ensuring consistent tone and messaging.
Gather ideas, plans, and concepts from Marketing and Creative leadership and distill them into formalized, actionable strategies.
Act as a central hub for marketing information – collecting updates across digital, content, sports, trade, and traditional marketing functions to build cohesive plans and documents such as calendars, one-sheets, and bulletins.
Streamline and improve communication flow across the marketing department and with cross-functional teams.
Support Marketing Director by compiling notes, ideas, lists and schedules into formalized, commercial documents.
PROJECT & WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT Use project management tools (e.g., Asana) to organize, track, and manage marketing activities, launches, and cross-functional initiatives.
Maintain marketing calendars, timelines, and task lists to ensure deadlines are met.
Coordinate deliverables across internal creative, digital, sports marketing, and trade marketing teams.
Proactively identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to keep projects moving smoothly.
TRADITIONAL MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS Draft and distribute press releases, media alerts, and brand announcements.
Manage creation of collateral such as brochures, one-sheets, newsletters, and trade marketing materials.
Support brand messaging in advertising campaigns, trade publications, and promotional initiatives.
Maintain media lists, coordinate press outreach, and track coverage.
Ensure brand consistency across all communication touchpoints.
EVENT & PR SUPPORT Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing marketing events, trade activations, and team launches.
Host and support external stakeholders at events, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
Support external trade PR initiatives, including drafting releases, managing outreach, and aligning with partners.
Build relationships with media contacts and ensure timely responses to press inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of experience in marketing communications, project management, or a related field.
Strong presentation and copywriting skills, with proven ability to simplify complex information into clear, compelling formats.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills across digital, PR, and traditional channels.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience using project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or Trello to coordinate cross-team workflows.
Comfortable collaborating across diverse marketing functions (digital, content, sports, trade, traditional).
Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace, Canva; bonus for design/presentation tools (Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite).
Event planning or PR coordination experience a plus.
