Finance Operations Manager

to oversee day-to-day financial operations within our fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and seamless integration of finance with plant operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a manufacturing environment, with strong cost accounting expertise, operational finance skills, and the ability to partner closely with production, supply chain, and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities Manage daily finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, general ledger, and cash flow tracking. Implement and track

KPIs Oversee

cost accounting

processes—monitoring standard costs, variances, and production efficiency; prepare and analyze manufacturing cost reports. Partner with plant leadership to monitor and optimize

inventory, COGS, and yield performance

. Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, and food industry regulatory requirements. Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes; provide variance analysis and actionable insights to operations and executive leadership. Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to monitor vendor spend, raw material costs, and logistics expenses. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial workflows and reporting systems. Manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance for the facility. Provide financial training and guidance to plant managers and department heads to drive accountability for results. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 4+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or food production environment. Strong knowledge of

cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing operations finance

. Hands-on operator with proven ability to dig into transactional details while also delivering strategic financial insights. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Strong knowledge of GAAP; familiarity with food manufacturing compliance requirements a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work on-site at the San Jose facility and collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams.
