Brooksource is hiring: Business Analyst in Columbus

Overview

Brooksource is seeking to network with detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our Banking client in the Columbus area. This role requires you to be self-motivated and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and drive tasks to completion on agreed schedules. The team will look to you to understand the team’s overarching roadmap initiatives and assist in the appropriate decomposition and prioritization of work. To be successful you must be driven, well-organized, and give strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for assigned business process and/or system within a business unit which includes the following
• Maintains, monitors, updates assigned business process and/or system
• Research complex problems and acts independently to resolve
• Analyzes existing business process and/or systems and determines technical or procedural improvements and implements changes
• Develops and provides documentation for users and training purposes
• Develops operational procedures for products, services and systems supported
• Designs processes to meet regulatory requirements
• Develops and generates specialized and ad hoc reports
• Analyzes reports and makes recommendations for improvements in processes and/or systems
• Acts as liaison between software vendors and process/system users or between users and other corporate areas

Basic Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in business and IT requirements analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Tableau
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, macros)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with application development teams
• Experience with business process modeling
• Knowledge of SQL or data analysis tools
• Experience facilitating meetings of cross-functional teams to identify requirements, deliverables, and issues
