We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support one of our key clients in St. Louis. This individual will play a critical role in bridging business needs and IT solutions by analyzing operations, gathering requirements, and ensuring that technology initiatives are aligned with organizational goals.
Role Overview
The Business Analyst will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in process analysis, requirements management, and solution evaluation. You will work directly with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to map current and future processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements and functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Map existing processes and design optimized workflows that improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure proper documentation and deliverables across the SDLC, including BRDs, user stories, and test cases.
- Lead the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring business validation of IT solutions.
- Analyze operational and market data to provide actionable insights, recommendations, and reporting for business leaders.
- Prepare professional documentation and presentations (process maps, dashboards, charts, and reports) to support decision-making.
- Assist in evaluating vendor solutions and technology alternatives to align with organizational strategies.
- Support change management activities, including training materials and communication plans, to drive successful adoption of new systems or processes.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of Business Analysis or related professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements.
- Proficiency with tools such as Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and project documentation platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis supporting IT initiatives.
- Familiarity with lean methodologies and process improvement frameworks.
