State of New Hampshire has a part-time vacancy for a Building Cleaning Worker I.

Location and Schedule

Location: Franklin District Court, 7 Hancock Terrace, Franklin, NH 03235

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4 hours per day (hours can be negotiated)

Compensation

Base pay range: $14.40/hr - $18.46/hr

This position’s hourly rate of pay is $14.40 - $18.46. Pay range provided by State of New Hampshire; actual pay depends on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs light to medium physical custodial activities (dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning walls and glass, disinfecting)
• Performs routine building and facilities maintenance duties (changing lightbulbs, adjusting/replacing fixtures, resetting machinery)
• Removes snow, debris, or garbage from grounds; applies salt and sand as needed; performs lawn care tasks as assigned
• Moves beds, furniture, equipment, partitions, materials, or supplies manually or with hand trucks
• Conducts condition checks of cleaning tools/equipment; reports issues to supervisor
• Applies solvents, chemicals, and disinfectants; handles waste according to health and safety requirements
• Stocks supplies and communicates inventory needs to the team lead or supervisor

Qualifications

• Minimum Education/Experience: 8th grade education
• License/Certification: None
• Other Requirements: None
• Trainee Option: Not applicable
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing cleaning services for a large complex or building; ability to follow verbal directions

Experience Counts

Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and vice versa.
