Overview

Leidos is seeking an IT Specialist Senior to support execution of projects on the SMIT contract and to be located in Kaneohe Bay, HI. The Senior IT Specialist will oversee the operation of network systems, architecture, and topology through deployment and oversight of network operations specialists. The qualified candidate will also perform asset scanning and logging of assets that have been delivered in accordance with established Government directives for both Lab and Production assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced systems installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimum Information Technology (IT) system operations.
• Design and oversee upgrades and new installations of IT systems and services ensuring coordination with Cyber Security Specialist. Perform Tier III upgrades of networking systems, IT systems, and storage networking.
• Perform Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management of IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
• Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems ensuring current network operations are sustained or oversee their recovery.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Eight years of IT experience including IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT.
• Basic understanding of the MCEN network; networking/troubleshooting a live network; including an intermediate understanding of Juniper VPNs, Cisco routers/switches, Palo Alto firewalls, FortiGate firewalls, Gigamon.
• CCNA certification required. CCNP certification preferred and would have to be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.

Original Posting: September 16, 2025. Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $162,150.00. The Leidos pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation.
