Overview

We are seeking a IT Technical Support II to join our team and contribute to ongoing success. Location: onsite in Los Angeles, CA. Status: Full-Time.

Position Title: IT Technical Support II

Salary Range: $97,000 - $106,000

Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures to troubleshoot, coordinate and resolve systems or hardware related incidents.
  • Perform initial analysis, diagnosis and troubleshooting of events to ensure outages/incidents are resolved expeditiously.
  • Manage staff onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Provide helpdesk support across IT functions for the Airport Development Group.
  • Answer incoming customer emails to the Help Desk.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues; determine severity, impact, and nature of incidents; escalate as needed.
  • Communicate clearly with team members; submit tickets for new service or application requests in Freshdesk and IT Service-Now and related systems.
  • Complete onboarding/offboarding functions for staff mobilized or demobilized.
  • Perform hardware and software installations; oversee deployments and relocations of staff at various locations within the airport footprint.
  • Provide IT support at Division-wide sponsored events and on-the-job training to new department staff.
  • Provide computer orientation to new staff.
  • Assist with hardware/software knowledge, PC hardware troubleshooting, and network infrastructure troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, IP, wireless, VPN).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred or equivalent job experience of 10+ years.
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Ability to organize short- and long-term tasks and communicate status with clients and management.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to convey complex issues to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to work with others and be a self-starter with a results-driven focus.
  • Capability to assume additional responsibilities and manage data coordination and conversion projects.

Technical Skills

  • Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10, 11): installation, configuration, administration, security patches, system updates, driver updates.
  • Microsoft Office 365 Suite: deployment, troubleshooting, user support for standalone and Microsoft 365, core tools, OneDrive, Teams.
  • Network Troubleshooting: identify and resolve LAN/WAN issues including cabling faults, switch/router configuration, IP conflicts; network performance and connectivity troubleshooting, including wireless and VPN.

Education/Training

  • As noted above, Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred or equivalent 10+ years of experience.

Other Requirements

  • May assume other duties as required/needed.
  • May be required to work various shifts as needed.
  • Candidate must be mobile to visit different sites on campus to provide technical support.
