a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of Health care systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products,seeks an accomplished
Pharmacy Technician.
IMPORTANT NOTES: This will be an Onsite role. Work Location: 845 Regent Blvd, Irving, TX 75063 Duration: 6 months assignment with possible conversion || 40 HRS/week Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Weekends/OT possible based on business needs)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform technical, nonjudgmental aspects of medication preparation and distribution. Check all orders for completeness and accuracy. Read and interpret prescriptions and verify patient/physician authorization. Calculate dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary systems. Enter and process prescriptions in the pharmacy system (under pharmacist review). Assist in safe medication distribution and pharmaceutical care support. Handle phone calls and respond to patient/provider inquiries. Maintain workstation cleanliness and software accuracy. Process orders accurately and in a timely manner. Support inventory/fulfillment. Follow HIPAA guidelines and the US Oncology Compliance Program. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License (Kentucky license required post-onboarding). Must have 2-3 years of experience Pharmacy Technician. Strong data entry skills with high speed and accuracy. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Typing speed: 35 WPM minimum. Strong verbal and written communication skills for provider and patient interactions.
