Business Analyst / Quality Analyst Job at TEKsystems in Charlotte

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Business Analyst / Quality Analyst (BA/QA) to join our team. This hybrid role leans heavily on business analysis and requires a proactive individual who can help guide less experienced project managers in defining project scope and requirements. The ideal candidate will also be hands-on with manual testing and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment.

Location and work arrangement: Charlotte, NC; 3-4 days onsite, Hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Business Analysis (Primary Focus): Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and functional specifications. Partner with project managers to define what to do and ensure alignment with business goals. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and walkthroughs to drive clarity and consensus. Support change management and process improvement initiatives.
• Quality Assurance (Secondary Focus): Design and execute comprehensive manual test plans and test cases. Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with developers to resolve issues. Validate that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. Participate in UAT and post-deployment verification.

Qualifications

• Experience Level: Intermediate
• Skills: Jira, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Confluence; strong communication, independent problem-solving, and manual QA experience; Agile methodology and business process modeling
• Additional Skills & Qualifications: Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, document requirements, produce user stories and functional specs, and facilitate meetings.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay range: $40.00 - $45.00/hr
