We are seeking a highly organized and resourceful
Shipping Coordinator
to oversee day-to-day shipping operations for our clients distribution business. This role focuses primarily on fulfilling orders for
independent retailers and small shops , managing shipments through
UPS, FedEx, DHL International, and USPS . While the primary focus is smaller accounts, the coordinator will also assist with larger national retailers (Five Below, Hot Topic, Books-A-Million, GameStop, Barnes & Noble, etc.) as needed. The ideal candidate is experienced with carrier systems, thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and takes pride in ensuring shipments go out accurately and on time. This is a
hands-on, jack-of-all-trades role
that requires flexibility—including pitching in across the warehouse when needed, and completing forklift certification (training and certification time will be provided by the company).
Key Responsibilities Daily Shipping Operations Process and prepare outbound shipments for independent retailers and small shops, primarily via
UPS, FedEx, DHL International, and USPS . Print labels, invoices, and packing slips, ensuring all documentation is accurate. Maintain shipment records, track packages, and resolve delivery issues. Retailer & Carrier Support Follow compliance requirements for independent accounts and, when needed, larger chain retailers. Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and routing to meet customer and carrier standards. Serve as a point of contact for shipping questions or discrepancies. Warehouse & Cross-Functional Support Assist with warehouse duties when needed (e.g., inventory organization, packing support). Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification provided by the company). Take on additional warehouse or logistics tasks as business needs evolve. Problem Solving & Efficiency Proactively identify and resolve shipping delays, label errors, or carrier issues. Organize workflow to meet daily shipping deadlines. Look for ways to improve shipping efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications & Skills 2–4 years of experience
in shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination (required). Hands-on experience with carrier systems (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, DHL International, USPS). Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Willingness to perform tasks outside of core shipping duties to support warehouse operations. Forklift certified, or willingness to complete company-provided certification. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and shipping/warehouse software. Strong attention to detail with problem-solving mindset.
