Matura Farrington
We’re looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support our attorneys in the Construction & Facilities practice group. This is a hybrid role (4 days in-office / 1 day remote) based in Downtown Oakland.
What You’ll Do Manage cases from start to finish, including filings, deadlines, and trial prep Draft, review, and cite-check legal documents Organize and maintain case files (electronic and hard copy) Handle discovery, e-discovery, and document productions Support depositions and hearings (exhibits, outlines, witness prep) Conduct legal research and monitor court decisions Draft subpoenas and coordinate with third-party vendors Track billable hours (annual requirement: 1,575)
What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate 5+ years of paralegal experience in a California law firm or in-house legal department Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and filings Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal research tools (Westlaw/Lexis) Experience with eDiscovery tools (Relativity, iPro, etc.) Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
Preferred:
Experience in construction-related matters, trial support, Trial Director, iManage, and advanced eDiscovery.
