About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Defense Attorney with a strong background in construction law, home improvement disputes, and related civil matters. This role is ideal for a seasoned litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering strategic legal solutions to clients in the construction and home services industries.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in civil litigation matters related to construction defects, contractor disputes, home improvement claims, and property damage. Handle all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial. Advise clients on risk management, regulatory compliance, and contract interpretation. Draft and review legal documents including contracts, settlement agreements, and court filings. Collaborate with internal teams, expert witnesses, and outside counsel as needed. Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations in the Denver metro area.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active Colorado Bar license in good standing. 3+ years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on construction, home improvement, or real estate law. Proven trial and courtroom experience. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with Colorado construction laws and building codes. Experience representing contractors, builders, or property owners. Background in insurance defense related to construction claims.
