Job Description As an Accounting Manager, M&A Integration & Reporting you will play a key role in acquisition integration, financial reporting, and process development at a private equity–backed national commercial construction company. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will manage critical accounting functions, support newly acquired entities, and drive process improvements. This is a dynamic role that offers broad exposure to diverse accounting projects, direct interaction with leadership, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact in a lean, high-growth environment. Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Month-End Close: Manage monthly close and reconciliation processes for assigned entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP. Prepare and review journal entries, account analyses, and supporting schedules for management and audit purposes. Support consolidated reporting requirements, lender deliverables, and year-end financial statement audits.

2. Acquisition Integration: Lead accounting integration efforts for newly acquired entities. Develop opening balance sheets and transition historical records to U.S. GAAP. Assist with ERP/system integrations, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Support process development and implementation to strengthen internal controls and reporting.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Operations, and local accounting teams to resolve accounting issues and provide technical guidance. Work with non-accounting stakeholders to ensure alignment and accuracy in reporting.

4. Special Projects & Ad-Hoc Support: Assist the Controller with projects such as debt covenant reporting, WIP/percentage-of-completion analysis, and ad-hoc financial reporting. Participate in software implementations and other high-priority initiatives.

5. Travel & Onsite Support: Periodically travel to acquired entities to assess local processes, provide onboarding support, and ensure reporting alignment.

6. Additional Responsibilities Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA license required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or regional) and industry experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; prior ERP/system integration experience strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions. Willingness to travel periodically. Team player attitude is a must. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
