Senior Project Manager – Construction

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects across multiple markets, including commercial, healthcare, K-12, and higher education. This individual will provide strategic leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proven builder of relationships and teams, with a track record of successfully managing diverse project types and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation across multiple market sectors.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Direct subcontractor and vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with design teams, owners, and internal staff to resolve challenges and maintain project momentum.
  • Monitor project performance metrics (schedule, budget, quality, safety) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Mentor and develop project engineers, assistant project managers, and junior staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and delivery approaches across projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience in the construction industry.
  • Proven track record delivering projects in at least three of the following markets:
  • - Commercial (office, mixed-use, retail, etc.)
  • - Healthcare (hospitals, clinics, medical office buildings)
  • - K-12 Education (schools, renovations, additions)
  • - Higher Education (universities, research facilities, student housing)
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling (Primavera P6/MS Project), and project management software (Procore, CMiC, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of safety practices, building codes, and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
