Position Summary
The Electronic Repair Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and maintaining electronic components, equipment, and systems. This role ensures that repairs meet quality standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations. The technician will also contribute to continuous improvement, documentation accuracy, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic circuits, PCBs, controls, and assemblies down to the component level. Perform repairs, replacements, and calibrations on a variety of electronic devices (industrial controls, drives, instrumentation, communication boards, etc.). Conduct functional testing and verification to ensure repaired equipment meets specifications. Use diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and soldering equipment. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time spent in the companys maintenance/repair tracking system. Provide feedback to engineering and quality teams regarding recurring issues and potential design improvements. Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols and safety standards during all repair processes. Support inventory control by identifying parts shortages and assisting with ordering. Collaborate with colleagues, customer service, and management to meet turnaround times and customer commitments. Participate in continuous training to stay current with new technologies and repair practices. Accountability

Turnaround Time : Meeting repair deadlines and minimizing downtime for internal and external customers. Documentation Accuracy : Completing repair logs, test results, and part usage records without errors or omissions. Safety & Compliance : Adhering to ESD, OSHA, and company safety standards; maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant workspace. Equipment Care : Properly using and maintaining diagnostic and repair tools. Customer Satisfaction : Supporting the companys reputation by delivering reliable repairs and professional communication. Continuous Improvement : Identifying recurring failures, recommending process or design improvements, and assisting in root cause analysis. Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in electronic repair or maintenance (industrial, consumer, or military electronics). Strong knowledge of electronic theory, schematics, and component-level troubleshooting. Skilled in soldering, de-soldering, and reworking PCBs. Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
