Title: Material Handler Shift: 2:15pm-10:35pm, M-F Salary: $19.62/hr Who we are: Our client is a growing company in Cortland, Ohio, that is expanding its team and looking for a dedicated Material Handler. The company's primary function is to receive and unload incoming material, direct it to proper areas, prep and stage all materials for winding, and manage inventory. Material Handler Role: The Material Handler is responsible for managing all aspects of material flow, from receiving and inspection to staging and inventory management. This role is essential for ensuring that materials are accurately tracked, properly stored, and readily available for production. Material Handler Responsibilities: Receive and unload incoming materials
Inspect materials for accuracy
Direct materials to their proper areas for use or storage
Prep and stage materials for winding
Perform all computer data entry for receiving and stock-related activities
Unload and load trucks as required
Perform receiving inspection and process required paperwork
Read and interpret drawings and blueprints
Carry out cycle counts according to a designated schedule
Assist other employees as directed by a supervisor
Material Handler Reporting Relationships: This position reports to a supervisor and does not have any direct reports. About You: Unload and load trucks using equipment like cranes, slings, and forklifts
Operate various hand tools, a bench saw, and a skill saw
Use a shear table, banding tools, and carpenter tools
Perform computer data entry with accuracy
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Work in a safe manner, following all safety rules and using all available safety systems
Keep accurate inventory of stock items
Assist other employees as directed
