The position is a key role in providing daily care for our sheltered animals and assist with kennel maintenance during the week.
This position is also responsible for cleaning cages, administering medication, and monitoring the behavior of the animals.
Job Description
Maintain proper sanitation according to department standards by cleaning animal kennels, walls, windows and floors. Ensures all animals have adequate food and water by replenishing supplies. Bathing, grooming, exercising, feeding, administering medication and monitoring behavior of animals. Ensures animals are properly identified with tags and correct cage cards. Provides humane treatment to all animals. Follows proper safety measures and procedures when using chemicals and cleaning supplies. Any other duties as assigned by the Animal Control Administrator.
Qualifications
High school diploma or relevant education and work experience Previous experience with animals preferred Team oriented, enjoys working as part of a team Valid Driver’s License
