As an

Electrical Engineer III , you will lead the design and engineering of electrical systems including power, lighting, grounding/bonding, special systems (e.g., telephone/data, security, fire alarm), raceways, cable trays, and other building support systems. You’ll manage multiple complex tasks, set priorities, and guide junior team members while overseeing the electrical scope and budget for small to medium-sized projects of intermediate complexity. You’ll collaborate with internal and external architects, engineers, clients, construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and manufacturers. Deliverables include calculations (power load, illumination, short circuit, voltage drop), design documentation (one-line diagrams, plans, schedules, specifications), and coordination efforts. You’ll use tools such as BIM software, CAD platforms, and engineering calculation programs to support all phases of design—from studies and schematic design to construction documentation and administration. Core Responsibilities Design electrical systems of intermediate complexity in compliance with applicable codes and in coordination with other disciplines. Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and constructible design. Coordinate with construction trade partners, vendors, and manufacturers. Develop narratives, reports, drawing packages, and specifications with minimal oversight. Support construction activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reports. Manage electrical design budgets and direct work on small to medium-sized projects. Assist in proposal development under the guidance of senior engineers. Identify basic non-compliant conditions during site walks and field surveys. Create internal training presentations on electrical design and engineering topics. Use Microsoft Office and BIM platforms to execute work. Participate in professional development activities. Lead quality assurance efforts and drive overall project quality. Mentor junior engineers and designers. Lead systems design programming and master planning with support from senior staff. Work on multiple projects simultaneously as assigned. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in an AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) firm. Active Professional Engineer (PE) registration in good standing. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a design firm environment. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments. Experience performing engineering calculations and designing electrical lighting, power, and special systems. Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (NFPA, IESNA, UL, OSHA, IEEE). Basic understanding of building codes. Strong coordination skills across disciplines and with construction partners. Ability to perform intermediate-level design calculations with limited supervision. Experience conducting field surveys and supporting field reporting. Basic troubleshooting skills for electrical systems and equipment. Willingness to travel for client development, project execution, and training. #LI-HYBRID #LI-JV1
