Urologist Full-Time Opportunity in Jackson, MI
Premier Physician Services, LLC is seeking a Board-Certified or TRULY Board-Eligible Urologist to join a thriving and collaborative team in Jackson, Michigan, just 77 miles west of Detroit. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity at a Magnet-designated facility known for innovation, excellence, and community-focused care.
Position Overview
This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient, inpatient, surgical, and clinic responsibilities in a high-volume, well-supported environment.
• Start Date: ASAP (allow 90 days for credentialing)
• Coverage Reason: Growth
• Schedule:
• Two dedicated OR days per week
• 2.5 clinic days weekly
• Call rotation: 1:4 (includes some weekends)
• Patient Volume:
• 22 patients/day per provider (including 2 new patients)
• patients/day through the clinic
• Trauma Level: Level II
• EMR: EPIC
Facilities & Support
• Clinic Location: Minutes from the hospital for seamless access
• Support Staff: APPs, 5 MAs, and front office team
• On-Site Procedures:
• Disposable cystoscopies
• Vasectomies
• BCG and Gemzar instillation
• Uroflow and urodynamic studies
• Prostate biopsies
• Consults: Only one hospital to consult streamlined workflow
• Culture: Collegial medical and administrative team focused on patient-centered care
• Community Engagement: Teaching hospital with GME program and Center for Health Innovation
Candidate Requirements
• Board-Certified or TRULY Board-Eligible in Urology (must certify within 6 months) Required
• Michigan Medical License (active or willing to obtain) Required
• BLS and DEA certifications (active or willing to obtain) Required
• Clean malpractice and licensure history Required
• Flu vaccination Required
• Visa Sponsorship: Not available
• Not Open To: Locums, 1099 arrangements, long-distance commuters (1+ hour), dual-job candidates, alternate shift seekers, or those with lapsed board certification
