Cardiology Electrophysiologist Detroit, MI
Premier Physician Services is actively recruiting a Board-Certified Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our client s dynamic cardiovascular team in metro Detroit, Michigan.
Position Overview
This is a full-time opportunity to deliver high-quality electrophysiology care across multiple practice locations in Detroit. You ll take on leadership responsibilities, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and engage in teaching within a robust academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient cardiac electrophysiology services
- Perform procedures including pacemaker and defibrillator implants, right- and left-sided ablations
- Work Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m., with shared call coverage (2:1 ratio)
- Participate in inpatient rounding during call weeks across multiple hospitals (APP support provided)
- Travel between practice sites as needed
- Build and manage a patient panel supported by strong internal referrals and existing volume
- Collaborate with EP cardiologists, APRNs, cardiovascular thoracic surgeons, and experienced support staff
- Contribute to a Level I Trauma Center with advanced cardiac, stroke, and neuro-endovascular programs
- Engage in teaching and mentoring within a hospital hosting 200+ residents and 30 fellows
- Utilize Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic in late 2025 early 2026)
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology Required
- Completion of accredited Cardiology and EP Fellowships Required
- 2 3 years post-fellowship experience Preferred
- Michigan Medical License Active or eligible
- Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and DEA certifications Required
- Clean malpractice and licensure history Required
- Must not hold second jobs or have commutes exceeding 1 hour Required
- No Visa sponsorship
- 1099 arrangements are not available
