Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Weekday dayshift, 10 hours, 4 days per week. Rotating call on evenings and weekend evenings, including holiday rotation.
Job Description We are seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist responsible for performing Interventional, Neuro, and Endovascular procedures. This role encompasses technical, procedural, and equipment performance, patient care and education, as well as interfacing with other clinical departments. The Technologist will oversee imaging procedure quality in thoracic, visceral, gastrointestinal, neurologic, and peripheral interventions for both vascular and nonvascular systems.
Responsibilities
Provide invasive procedure assistance and digital imaging, including embolization, tumor treatments, and stenting procedures.
Assist the Interventionalist during diagnostic studies and treatments.
Prepare and position patients, administer contrast media, and provide required immobilization and radiation protection.
Explain procedures and address patient inquiries.
Document pertinent medical information and report to the Registered Nurse regarding patient observations.
Maintain current knowledge on interventional supplies and equipment.
Operate digital imaging equipment, and perform quality control tests, notifying leadership of any irregularities.
Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of all equipment and supplies.
Manage patient scheduling and follow-up documentation.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology is required.
Certification as a Radiology Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
