Overview Our client, a leader in digital healthcare technology, is hiring for a Software Engineer to join their growing team. Their mission is to modernize pathology through an advanced digital platform that integrates laboratory workflows with intuitive clinical tools, enabling physicians and healthcare organizations to deliver faster and more accurate diagnoses.
What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown: 50% Python & back-end development; 30% Front-end development for clinical/lab applications; 20% Database integrations, standards compliance, and QA/testing
Daily Responsibilities: 70% Hands-on development (new features, annotation tools, LIS viewer); 20% Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading systems; 10% Cross-team collaboration and process improvements
Remote role within the US
Responsibilities Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of professional experience solving complex problems across the full SDLC
Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with other programming languages
Solid knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies
Experience with test-driven development and software engineering tools
Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable, production-ready applications
Desired Skills & Experience Background in healthcare software development
Familiarity with HL7 standards and integration protocols
Experience building HIPAA-compliant applications
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with clinicians and product stakeholders
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with customer-facing systems
