We are a well-established union commercial drywall contractor serving the Chicago metro area. We are currently seeking skilled and motivated

Commercial Drywall Carpenters

to join our team on a full-time basis. Candidates must have experience in commercial metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and related tasks in a fast-paced construction environment. This is a union position offering competitive wages and a full benefits package in accordance with the local collective bargaining agreement. Key Responsibilities:

Perform commercial metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and backing/blocking installation

Accurately read and follow construction blueprints and specifications

Install drywall systems to meet project and code requirements

Work safely and efficiently on active construction sites

Collaborate with foremen, general contractors, and other trades on-site

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Adhere to all union rules, job site protocols, and OSHA safety standards

Contribute to a positive and productive team environment

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial drywall carpentry

Proficient in metal stud framing and drywall hanging techniques

Ability to interpret blueprints and construction drawings

Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and job site safety procedures

OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail

Must be a member in good standing with the local union, or willing to join
