Practice Highlights Location: Avon Dental Group, 20 West Avon Road, Suite 101, Avon, CT 06001 4.9 Google rating based on 127+ reviews 14 operatories (10 for providers, 4 for hygiene) Onsite parking Digital X-rays and paperless charting (Eaglesoft & Dentrix) Multi-specialty services: General, cosmetic, restorative, endodontic, and periodontal care Family-friendly amenities: Childrens play area, fish tank, extended hours, 24/7 emergency care Schedule Monday & Friday - 8am-5pm Tuesday - 7:30am-5pm Thursday - 7:30am-6pm Saturday - 8am-1pm *once a month Your Role as a Dental Assistant Create a warm and comfortable experience for patients Assist with a variety of dental procedures including general and specialty care Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments to OSHA standards Capture diagnostic-quality digital X-rays Support the doctor with procedures including suctioning, instrument passing, tray setup, and patient communication Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment instructions Track and order inventory, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in the operatories Accurately chart in Eaglesoft/Dentrix and support front-office coordination as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program (preferred) DANB CDA, ICE, RHS, and current CPR certification (preferred) Minimum 2 years of dental office experience Experience with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software (preferred) Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset Interview Process Step 1: Initial phone screen Step 2: In-person interview and office tour About Avon Dental Group Avon Dental Group has proudly served families in the Farmington Valley and surrounding areas for over 40 years.
