Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Construction Manager to oversee and inspect various aspects of cable and fiber placement, splicing, and construction work. This role involves ensuring the quality and accuracy of in-home fiber broadband installations, buried service wire repairs, and distribution facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OSP (Outside Plant) construction, design, and planning, as well as expertise in fiber installation and maintenance.
Responsibilities: Perform field inspections of cable/fiber placement, splicing, and construction work. Oversee completed in-home fiber broadband installations and ensure compliance with quality standards. Inspect buried service wire and distribution facilities for repair and maintenance needs. Prepare and document data for reporting field results. Track, monitor, and update databases or workgroups on job status. Prepare work requests and verify the accuracy of change orders and invoices. Review all documentation for completeness and accuracy before submitting job packages for final closing. Ensure compliance with Outside Plant Safety and Quality Procedures (e.g., GO95, GO128). Understand and interpret engineering work prints and ROW (Right of Way) documents. Oversee proper fiber broadband FTTP installation, ONT, and Wi-Fi activation quality standards. Conduct GPON & XGS testing and turn-up requirements. Handle fiber feeder and distribution fault isolation, troubleshooting, and damage restoration procedures. Provide excellent customer service during inspections.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in OSP construction, design, and planning. Strong knowledge of underground and aerial utility construction, manhole, and conduit construction. Familiarity with Outside Plant Safety and Quality Procedures (e.g., GO95, GO128). Ability to interpret engineering work prints and ROW documents. Proficiency in tracking, monitoring, and updating job status in databases or workgroups. Experience with fiber broadband FTTP installation and ONT/Wi-Fi activation quality standards. Knowledge of GPON & XGS testing and turn-up requirements. Skilled in fiber feeder and distribution fault isolation and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
