Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Catering Manager to oversee all aspects of our catering operations in Albany, NY. This role is responsible for managing events from initial client inquiry through execution, including menu planning, staffing, logistics, and service delivery. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing successful catered events of all sizes. Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute catering events, including weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and large-scale events. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, from initial consultation through post-event follow-up. Work closely with culinary and operations teams to design customized menus and ensure flawless service. Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and training of event personnel, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff. Oversee on-site event setup, service, and breakdown; troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed. Manage event logistics, including rentals, transportation, equipment, and permits. Monitor budget adherence, cost control, and profitability of catering operations. Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, venues, and repeat clients to support business growth. Assist with marketing efforts, social media presence, and client acquisition strategies. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred 3–5 years of experience in catering management, event planning, or hospitality leadership Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously Proficiency in event planning software, spreadsheets, and point-of-sale systems ServSafe Certification and knowledge of health and safety regulations Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range:

$55,000 – $70,000/year, depending on experience Health Benefits:
