Lighting Workshop is seeking a Lighting Designer to join our team. The candidate is ideally well-rounded in both creative design sensibilities and technical skills, applying their knowledge on a variety of project types during all phases from schematic design through construction administration.
We are an award winning architectural lighting design firm based in a sun-filled loft studio in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Responsibilities:
- You will take part in designing, developing, managing, and documenting a variety of project types
- Support the firm project design process with prodigious design solutions, project imagery, research, and documentation
- Effectively convey conceptual design solutions to clients and colleagues through graphic design renderings
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to work well both individually and in a collaborative studio environment
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be proficient in communication of design ideas through graphic renderings
Required
- At least 2 years of Architectural Lighting Design experience. Please include a resume and portfolio along with your application
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, familiarity with AGI32
- Basic understanding of architectural practices, design protocols and methods
- Bachelor's Degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, or related is preferred
Recommended:
- LEED Certified or have a basic understanding of green design methods

- The candidate must be able to commute to Brooklyn, NY.
