The Axel Group is partnering with a well-established engineering consulting firm in the Greater Philadelphia region to hire a Civil Engineer for their growing Land Development team.

What You’ll Do: Design site layouts, grading, erosion control, stormwater management, utilities, and more. Prepare construction plans, specifications, stormwater reports, calculations, and cost estimates in accordance with local standards and regulations. Coordinate project design requirements with internal staff, external departments, and subconsultants. Review your own work and that of others to ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards. Interface with municipal, county, and state officials, including planning boards, water/street departments, PADEP, PennDOT, County Conservation Districts, and others. Maintain thorough project records, including correspondence, permits, design documentation, and construction-phase records. Monitor project budgets and collaborate closely with project managers. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. EIT certification with 4–5 years of land development experience required; PE preferred. Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset and adaptability to embrace new challenges and technologies.
