Position Summary
A mid-sized construction and services organization is seeking a skilled
Construction Recruiter
to join its growing talent acquisition team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in high-volume, blue-collar recruiting, who can immediately take ownership of the full-cycle recruitment process for field-based roles. This is a crucial position that will play a vital part in meeting seasonal hiring demands and supporting company growth.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Must-Haves: Seasoned Recruiting Experience:
5+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with a strong track record of filling blue-collar, construction, or skilled trades positions. Industry Knowledge:
The ability to understand construction terminology, job site needs, and the specific skill requirements for various trades. High-Volume Recruiting:
Proven experience managing and successfully filling multiple requisitions at once. Independence & Ownership:
A self-starter who can quickly "hit the ground running" with minimal supervision. Organizational Skills:
Meticulous attention to detail in scheduling, applicant tracking, and ensuring compliance. Strong Communication:
The confidence to work effectively with candidates and internal stakeholders, including project managers and field supervisors.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Lead full-cycle recruitment for field roles such as carpenters, painters, drywallers, and general laborers. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide consultative support. Source, screen, and interview candidates using creative outreach strategies. Manage applicant flow and ensure accurate documentation is maintained in the company's ATS/CRM. Coordinate with the HR team to ensure consistent recruiting coverage during peak hiring seasons. Attend career fairs and community events to build talent pipelines for future needs. Draft and post compelling job ads to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. Provide regular and timely updates to both candidates and hiring managers. Ensure the hiring process remains compliant with all relevant company policies and industry regulations.
