Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized
Document Controller
to support a fast-paced
data center construction project
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project documentation in accordance with internal quality standards and project requirements. This role ensures the seamless flow of information between stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, construction, and client teams.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the flow of documents such as drawings, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and correspondence using a document management system Ensure all project documentation is properly categorized, filed, and archived according to project protocols and compliance requirements. Maintain and update document control logs, distribution matrices, and drawing registers. Coordinate document reviews and approvals with engineering, design, construction, and client teams. Track document revisions and ensure only the latest approved versions are distributed and used. Enforce document control procedures and naming conventions across all teams and contractors. Provide training and support on document control systems and procedures to project personnel. Assist in audits and ensure document control practices comply with internal and client QA/QC standards. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely receipt and submission of deliverables. Generate periodic reports on document status, outstanding approvals, and overdue items.
Requirements: Education & Experience: Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. 3–5 years of experience in document control, ideally in the construction or engineering sectors. Experience on data center or mission-critical facility projects is a strong advantage.
Skills: Proficiency with document management software Strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of documents. Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a high-pressure environment.
