Key Responsibilities:
Perform chemical analysis and physical property testing of material and products.
Coordinate and perform tests.
Analyze data to develop conclusions.
Communicate results of analysis and research.
Evaluate current processes and develop improvements to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Create standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.
Assist in the establishment of timelines and budgets.
Assist in the design and installation of equipment and the routine inspection of the equipment within the facilities.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of instruments.
Provide training and mentorship to technical staff.
Promotes a safe work environment by complying to all safety standards, regulations, laws, and policies.
Qualifications
: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in haircare product formulation (minimum of 6 years) in a laboratory or industrial setting. Expertise in physical and chemical testing, as well as advanced analytical techniques. Strong understanding of cosmetic raw materials, surfactants, emollients, and preservatives used in haircare products. Familiarity with cosmetic regulatory guidelines (FDA, EU, etc.) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Excellent knowledge of formulation techniques, product testing, and troubleshooting. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Passion for innovation and staying current with haircare industry trends. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Properly identified and authorized to work in the United States.
