About The Job: Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for a Commercial Construction Project Manager to join their team in the Phoenix area. Our client is an award-winning commercial general contractor based in Minneapolis, specializing in multi-family, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. Known for managing complex projects and delivering them to the highest standards, they are proud of their strong relationships and employee-centered culture.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who values integrity, accountability, and collaboration. The Project Manager will play a key role in leading construction projects from start to finish, with direct influence on design and trade partner choices.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and direct project teams while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders Oversee all project activities including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting Manage client and contract requirements, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery Serve as the main point of contact for clients and on-site representatives Mentor Project Engineers and Interns Execute change orders and negotiate with owners and subcontractors Monitor project progress and financial health, adjusting plans as needed Prepare and present project reports to management and clients
Required Skills: 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel; experience with Procore, Timberline, Sage, and On-Screen Takeoff preferred Strong understanding of commercial construction best practices Experience with wood frame and multi-family construction Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle Experience with commercial estimating is a plus
