We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a cardboard manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of industrial production equipment, including troubleshooting electrical systems (up to 3-phase/480V), motors, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and older PLCs. Much of our equipment is legacy machinery, so a hands-on, problem-solving approach is essential.

Essential Functions: Performs troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems. Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment. Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance. Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management. Performs corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs. Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time. Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system. Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers. Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
Qualifications Education: Minimum High School diploma or GED and mechanical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanic.
Experience: Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience. Ability to read and use schematics, gauges, tools and instruments. Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks. Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance. Must have intermediate experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder. Must have a good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc. Forklifts and scissor lift driving experience is preferred.
